Ashley Cates
Operations Director / Finance Director/ Cheer Coach
Ashley is a native of Arden, NC and participated in tumble and cheer from age 4 through 18. Her career as a competitor in All-Star Cheerleading began in 2000. Ashley was a part of a championship team and competed on what today would be known as level 4 and level 5 teams. Ashley also cheered all four years with a successful local high school TC Roberson. After high school Ashley attended Asheville Buncombe Technical Community College completing an Associate in Arts degree and then transferred to University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Ashley received her license in Real Estate in 2010 and has continued to oversee a local property management company. Ashley returned to the cheer world when her daughters decided that they wanted to be cheerleaders. She took on the head cheer coach position for the JV Cheer team at TC Roberson High School. Ashley’s love and passion for cheer and tumble came back at full force which has led her cross back over into the competitive world. Ashley is also an AACCA Safety Accredited and Interscholastic certified coach as well as CPR certified!

Harvey Michael Myers
Head Choreographer / Cheer Coach
Harvey was born and raised in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and was a multi-sport athlete the majority of his childhood, taking part in football, lacrosse, swimming, track, and basketball. Harvey played Varsity basketball in high school and is a State Champion with Dillard High School. He only started with All-Star cheerleading at 15 years old with Element All Stars, but it quickly became his passion. Harvey cheered at levels 2-4 before trying out at Top Gun All Stars in 2014. He ended up making Top Gun Large Coed(TGLC) for the 2014-2015 season and placed 2nd in the Large Coed division at The 2015 Cheerleading Worlds Championship. He is also a CHEERSPORT, UCA, and NCA National Champion and was featured in The Champions League movie for 2015. Harvey started coaching at 15 years old when he was introduced into the sport but started head coaching and choreographing by 18 years old for reputable gyms in South Florida such as Element All Stars, Flip City All Stars, and 5Star Athletics. Harvey is excited to take his career to the next level and bring his passion for the sport to Fearless Athletics!

Caitlyn Davis
Cheer Coach
​
Caitlyn completed her undergrad in 2018 from Western Carolina University with a degree in Psychology and graduated with a master's degree in Sports Psychology in December 2022. Caitlyn has 17 years of cheerleading experience that started when she was 7 years old with Enka Youth League! From there, Caitlyn went on to cheer at a couple All-Star gyms that were opened in WNC, including Premier Athletics and Club Cheer. During Caitlyn's time in All-Star cheer she was Team Captain for four years, assistant coached a Mini Level 1 team, and worked as a Special Needs assistant coach! Caitlyn also cheered for Enka's Varsity squad making the Team Captain position her senior year. During her time at Western Carolina University, she made the game day cheer squad as well as the competition team every year that she attended. Caitlyn competed at NCA College Daytona Nationals for three years and was also Team Captain during her senior year at WCU. Caitlyn has a huge heart and passion for cheerleading and is so excited to be back in the sport, but this time as a coach! She enjoys Fearless because of the "Family" atmosphere it provides. When Caitlyn is not coaching, she is a full-time medical assistant at Southeastern Sports Medicine where she is CPR, First Aid and AED certified.

Ashley Foster
Cheer Coach

Ashley has over 16 years of cheerleading experience. She has cheered at the biggest and well-known gyms in the world, and competed at The Cheerleading World Championships in 2012 and 2013. As well as extensive all-star experience, she also cheered at her high school, where she was a captain her senior year, and placed second at the North Carolina state championship in 2011. She also cheered for four years at the collegiate level and placed top ten in the nation for four consecutive years at the National Collegiate Cheerleading Championships. Ashley also has extensive leadership experience as an executive board member of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee at WCU. Ashley has her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and hopes to earn her PhD and work with cheerleaders experiencing mental blocks. Ashley wants to bring the happiness she felt through cheerleading to every athlete at Fearless.

Ashley is also a part of our Marketing Team for social media. When she is not coaching/instructing you will see her on the floor and around the gym getting content to document our season!
Savanna Branch
Cheer Coach
​
Savanna was born and raised in the Asheville and Hendersonville area. She did competitive cheerleading at 6 years old at Premier Athletics for one year. She took a break and did a variety of other sports including basketball, soccer, track and gymnastics but she always made her way back to cheerleading. Savanna made her way back into cheerleading at the age of 12 and hasn’t stopped since . She competed up to level 4 but has had skills up to level 5. She has always had a passion for flying, as stunts and jumps are her favorite things about the sport. Savanna also did school cheer for the West Henderson Falcons from 8th grade until her senior year in 2016. During high school she found out she also loves to dance and was on the dance team for 3 years. Savanna has been involved with Fearless since it opened and has continued to coach there off and on doing tumbling, stretch, and conditioning classes as well as coaching elite teams. Savanna is working towards to getting her credentials for cheer and is excited to continue her journey at Fearless Athletics.

Amanda Lambert
Cheer Coach

Amanda is a native of Brevard, NC and started cheering as a small child and continued through college at Mars Hill University. She has over 20 years coaching experience on the all-star, college, youth, middle and high school levels and is currently a cheer coach at Brevard High School. Fun Fact: Amanda founded and started TC Twisters Cheerleading which eventually merged with other small gyms in the area to create Fearless Athletics and now it all comes full circle. Amanda has been a part of the WNC Youth program for many years and has served as the Cheer Commissioner. Amanda helped many athletes in the area find a love for cheer, and has helped many athletes move on to cheer at the next level. Amanda is a Registered Nurse and is passionate about developing great people who are also great athletes. Amanda is excited to be part of the Fearless family and invest in the next generation of cheerleaders.

Kendrick Johnson
Tumbling Coach/Class Instructor

Kendrick Johnson is a graduate of Asheville High School. Kendrick danced for 8 years and through out high school learning styles such as jazz, ballet, modern, hip hop, and tap. He also danced for Allure out of Lake Lure for the Dirty Dancing Review. Kendrick first worked as a gymnastics instructor for Land of the Sky Gymnastics. Kendrick started coaching All Star cheer in 1993 with the Asheville Cats that latter merged with Premier All Stars to become Premier Asheville Cats. After Premier closed, he ventured to Lincolnton, NC to work with Carolina Odyssey Cheer and Tumble where he coached at for the past 10 years. Kendrick has been a credentialed coach for levels 1-5 for the past 20 years and considers all star cheerleading and tumbling his life!

Leo Nickerson
Tumbling Coach/Class Instructor
Meet Leo! Starting at an early age Leo developed a true passion for tumbling. That passion grew into a talent and skill that allowed him to win three all around gymnastics championships. Leo seen that this was more than just a talent that it was a passion and acquired his coaching license under the US. Gymnastics Federation (USGF) which was the start of his career. Leo had the privilege of traveling nationwide coaching and empowering athletes to accomplish their goals. Leo was a tumbling instructor at the Oklahoma School of Gymnastics and American Gymnastics and traveled to multiple school districts. He continued his career and coaching in Dallas where he focused primarily on Advanced/Elite Tumbling and specialized in helping athletes get over mental blocks. Leo empowers athletes through illustrations and instruction and builds their confidence to overcome their fears. Fearless Athletics absolutely adores Coach Leo and so does his athletes. He has gotten multiple athletes through mental blocks and built confidence to throw passes that they never thought possible. Join his class and see what makes Leo such an amazing tumble coach.
Melissa Brown
Marketing & Social Media Coordinator/Administration​ Team

Melissa is going on her 4th season with Fearless Athletics. Melissa was added to the staff for our 22/23 season as a part of our Marketing Team for social media and administration team. Melissa has a passion for cheer and photography, so she was happy to jump on our Marketing Team. Melissa cheered 13 years for youth, middle/high school as well as all-star cheer. She also was a junior coach for local youth programs while in High School with our very own Amanda Lambert and also coached several years for the West Henderson Youth Program. Melissa is a full time Marketing Coordinator, and a Licensed Realtor who does Transaction Coordinating. You will see her around the gym posing athletes for candid shots, taking pictures and videos at competitions, and creating content to document our season. You will also see her at the front desk and helping wherever needed.
