Kelsey Jenkins is happy to be back for her second year at Fearless! Kelsey grew up in Maryland and went to Montgomery College for Performance Theatre but ended up finishing her time there as a Technical Theatre major. In high school, Kelsey was one of the engineers for their television station. This is where she learned how to edit videos! She was also in the pit orchestra and the symphonic orchestra where Kelsey played the violin, cello, viola, double bass and electric bass. Playing in the orchestras enhanced Kelsey's already serious love for musical theatre. Her mother introduced her to Grease when she was 5 and her parents took her and her brothers to see Broadway shows every couple of years. Kelsey also danced from when she was 2 years old until she was 12 but took a break so that she could play tennis, swim and start taking theatre classes. Kelsey planned on going to college in Florida to become an event coordinator but ended up staying home which led her to apply to Montgomery College for Performance Theatre. When Kelsey was at Montgomery College, she started taking dance classes to get back into dance and to improve her musical theatre experience. In those classes, there were some fun and handsome boys named Michael and Luis. The three grew close over the years with Kelsey switching roles as friend and Stage Manager! BUT Michael and Luis left school to move here and open Fearless with Nick! Kelsey still came to visit as often as work would allow and has been supporting Fearless (Arden) since the beginning! Kelsey began SM work in college and impressed her mentors so much that they started offering her professional jobs at theatre in the DC area. Kelsey worked as a professional SM for 6 years at numerous theatres such as Arena Stage, The Hub and Theater Alliance. She has worked on a one woman show with one of her classmates from high school, Anna Snapp, in New York called "I Found That The Sun Will Rise Again Tomorrow" along with another one woman show with a friend that she met while working at Mosaic Theatre, "MOM BABY GOD". Last year, Kelsey went on sabbatical as a Stage Manager and planned on traveling the country but her first stop had to be Asheville to see Michael and Luis! She asked if they had any openings at the gym and they said "Heck yeah girl, come on down!". Kelsey has fallen in love with Fearless Athletics and doesn't plan on leaving the area for a long time. Will she go back to theatre? Not just yet.
